Frequently asked questions.

Is this right for me?

  • Most therapy focuses on the mind - understanding patterns, developing coping skills, or processing trauma cognitively. My approach honors that your healing happens across all levels: mind, body, and spirit.

    Here's what makes it different:

Comprehensive Assessment: I look at what's hijacking your power across your parts, nervous system, attachment patterns, inherited trauma, and even soul-level themes that may span lifetimes.

Science + Soul Integration: I blend evidence-based methods (IFS, nervous system regulation) with spiritual wisdom (energy work, intuitive guidance, ritual, and when appropriate, past life regression).

Self Sovereignty Focus: Rather than just managing symptoms, we work toward you trusting yourself completely and responding from your authentic Self instead of wounded parts.

Embodied Healing: We don't just talk about your patterns - we work with your nervous system to create felt shifts in your body.

This isn't therapy that keeps you in your head. It's transformation that helps you trust your whole system - logical mind, body wisdom, and spiritual intuition.

  • IFS therapy is particularly powerful if you notice different "parts" of yourself showing up in different situations - like the part that's confident at work but anxious in relationships.

You might be a good fit if you:

    • Feel like you're living in your head and disconnected from your body/intuition

    • Notice patterns repeating despite your best efforts to change

    • Feel triggered easily or struggle to regulate back to calm

    • Experience attachment struggles in relationships

    • Find yourself people-pleasing or abandoning your needs to maintain connection

    • Carry fears, shame, or burdens that feel bigger than your own life experiences

    • Have tried traditional therapy but feel like something's still missing

    • Are drawn to approaches that honor both psychology and spirituality

If you're curious about your inner world and ready to build a loving relationship with all parts of yourself, IFS can be transformational.

  • This is incredibly common for my clients. Traditional therapy often misses three key pieces:

Your nervous system - If you're stuck in fight/flight/freeze, your thinking brain can't access wisdom or make clear decisions.

Your parts - Different parts of you carry different wounds. Until we heal the specific part that's struggling, it will keep taking over.

Inherited patterns - Some of what you're carrying isn't even yours. It's ancestral trauma living in your system that therapy alone can't touch.

My approach addresses all three levels, which is why my clients often say "this is the first time therapy has actually changed something."

  • es, and I work with them differently than traditional approaches by addressing root causes rather than just symptoms.

Anxiety: We explore which parts of you are anxious and what they need to feel safe, regulate your nervous system, and reconnect you to your calm, centered Self.

Trauma: Using IFS, we help wounded parts release what they're carrying while strengthening your Self-leadership. We also address inherited trauma that may not even be yours.

Codependency: We identify which parts abandon your needs for others, outsource your wellbeing, and help them learn that you can meet their needs for connection and safety from within.

I also specialize in working with:

    • High-achievers and entrepreneurs exhausted by living in their heads

    • Empaths and highly sensitive people who need energetic boundaries

    • LGBTQ+, polyamorous, and kink communities (I celebrate your authentic expression)

    • Spiritually gifted individuals whose intuitive abilities need strengthening

    • People with chronic conditions like endometriosis/PMDD who need whole-system healing

I create space for parts of you that other therapists might not understand.

how does this work?

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a revolutionary therapy approach that recognizes we all have different "parts" within us - like an internal family. Think of it this way: you might have a part that's confident at work, another part that gets anxious in relationships, and yet another part that takes care of everyone else.

The core concept: Rather than seeing these different aspects as problems to fix, IFS helps you:

    • Get to know your parts - Understanding what each part is trying to do for you

    • Heal wounded parts - Helping parts that carry trauma, shame, or pain

    • Access your Self - Your calm, curious, compassionate center that can lead your internal system

    What makes IFS unique:

    • Non-pathologizing: IFS doesn't see you as broken or disordered

    • Self-leadership: The goal is to strengthen your Self so you can respond from your centered, wise place

    • Legacy burden work: IFS addresses inherited trauma and burdens passed down through family lines

    • Spiritually inclusive: This approach honors your spiritual beliefs and can integrate spiritual practices

IFS was created by Dr. Richard Schwartz and is evidence-based therapy. I'm specially trained in legacy burden work through direct study with Dr. Schwartz.

  • True healing honors both your psychology AND your soul. Here's how I integrate them:

Science: IFS parts work, nervous system regulation, EMDR trauma processing, trauma-informed practices, somatic techniques

Spirituality: Energy work, ritual integration, ancestral healing, intuitive guidance, legacy burden work, past life exploration when relevant

Your logical mind needs evidence-based tools. Your soul needs practices that honor the deeper patterns. You don't have to choose between them.

  • Absolutely. In fact, many clients find virtual sessions even more effective because:

Comfort of Your Space: You're in your own environment, which can help you feel safer to go deep and be vulnerable.

No Travel Stress: You can transition directly into your session feeling grounded rather than rushing from traffic.

Access to Your Tools: Your journal, tissues, water, comfort items are all right there when you need them. Not to mention any fur babies you may have :)

Easier Integration: After sessions, you're already home to process and integrate rather than having to drive while potentially emotionally activated.

The therapeutic relationship and transformation happen through our connection, not the physical space. I've been providing virtual therapy since before 2020 and have seen profound healing occur through the screen.

At this time all sessions are virtual for your convenience.

  • Therapy (for CO, CA, TX residents): Clinical work that can address mental health symptoms while focusing on healing trauma, parts work, and deeper transformation using evidence-based approaches.

Coaching (worldwide): Strategic life transformation using the same IFS and nervous system frameworks but focused on growth, alignment, and achieving your vision rather than clinical treatment.

Both use my "science + soul" approach and IFS (parts work). The difference is the scope of practice and clinical vs. strategic framing.

investment & logistics

  • I'm a private-pay provider, which means:

Investment in yourself - This work requires focus and consistency that insurance often doesn't support

Longer sessions - We're not limited to 50-minute constraints when you need more time

No diagnoses required - You don't need a mental illness to deserve transformation

Complete privacy - No insurance company involvement in your healing journey

I can provide a superbill at the end of each month if you'd like to submit to your insurance for out-of-network benefits. I also accept payment via HSA and FSA.

This is an investment in trusting yourself completely. Can you put a price on that?
